Our Mission

Before the pandemic, I felt like I was on top of the world.
Everything was falling into place: career soaring, morning routine flawless, and fitness and nutrition game on point. I even treated myself to regular nail and hair appointments. Life was good. And then, bam, COVID hit. Suddenly, my routine and lifestyle, that took forever to create,  came crashing down and vanished into thin air. I became burnt out from work and home being blurred. My workout routines were off since gyms were shutdown, and home fitness equipment became expensive AF. My brow, nails, and hair routine was off due to shutdowns.  I found myself isolated and alone, grappling with anxiety and depression.
I didn’t feel like myself anymore. 

Desperate to feel anything but hopelessness, one day, while chatting with a friend about my struggles, she introduced me to magnetic lashes as a DIY alternative to salon lash extensions. This also inspired me to experiment with press on nails, learning to shave my brows, and invest in nice loungewear. While, It sounds silly,  the small dose of daily glam ended up wonders for my mental health. Specifically with the magnetic lashes, I adored how easy they were to apply, their durability compared to traditional glue, and how comfortable they felt. Yet, as much as I loved for magnetic lashes, I couldn’t find alot of lash styles that suited my taste. So, I started experimenting, manipulating the lashes to mimic my favorite non-magnetic styles. And then, it hit me – why not create magnetic lash styles that I love? And just like that, Spicy Lola Lashes was born!
